Yesterday we celebrated the life of my sweet Granny and rejoiced as she is in Heaven with my Papa. The service was perfect, and the weather was even more perfect...for her...

Helen Shipley
Helen Shipley 90 of Kingsland died April 3, 2014 in Azle Texas. Services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Kingsland Community Church with Tommie Beck, Todd Shipley and Dick West officiating.
A private interment will be at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park.
Helen was born February 13, 1924 in Unionville Missouri. Late that year her family moved to Gilman Iowa. In 1945 Helen married Leonard Shipley at the Little Brown Church in Nashau, Iowa.
The family then moved to Odessa, Texas in 1950. Upon retirement in 1980 Leonard and Helen moved to Kingsland, Texas.
Helen was preceded in death by husband Leonard, parents Clovie and Gail Davis, two brothers and Great Grandson Bronson.
She is survived by daughter Cheryll and husband Clete, Son Michael and wife Ellen, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren with #8 due July this year, and niece Linda and B.J.
In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Kingsland Community Church or the Kingsland Library.
