Wayne is in Kansas this weekend for a charity Porsche build. A guy from Bedford and him split the driving last night and didn't get to the hotel till 3AM! Some 914 Porsche guys decided to help this lady out in Garden City, KS who is trying to rebuild this car with her Dad. There is a story behind it though. The car was her brother's, who died in a car accident a few years ago, and before that their Mom died of cancer. Then, just a few months ago her Dad was diagnosed with cancer, and she has been taking him to the hospital back and forth. The 914 guys have a website and when they found this story out, Wayne and some of them started sending parts to her, it got painted (free of charge), etc. This weekend and the last weekend in Jan. some of the car guys from all over went up to help finish this car! She really wants it done, esp. before anything happens to her Dad. The generosity of everyone has been amazing. I am so proud of my hubby, he has such a kind heart, and he will never forget this experience!!
