The Thursday after Wyatt was born, the Mom365 photography people came in. She took them right after he ate, so he was super sleepy, and it really didn't take that long!
She showed us a sweet slide show with music that she put together of his pics, and both Wayne and I cried! It was just so sweet, and reality had set in..He was OURS...God's gift to us...I cry even now when I watch it!
We ordered a cheap package because we knew we would have more pics done by my friend later, but these were really special as he wasn't even 48 hours old yet! They did a great job!

Wyatt's Birth Story
What a whirlwind the past 6 weeks have been!!
I am SO behind on blogging, and I just know I will get further behind if I don't try and do a little bit everyday! I really want this to be a journal for me and Wyatt, so I better get on top of it! :)
Wyatt's Birth Story
My official due date was July 6th...the week or so leading up to that, I really had not progressed at all! So, I knew that induction was inevitable.
On Monday, July 7th, we had everything ready to go in anticipation of going in that night to the hospital to start induction. They said to call that night around 8 pm to see if they had room for me! So, I called and they said to come in at 930pm! Reality was setting in...right before heading out the door I just started crying..it was the last time in our house as just the two of us, and I was feeling very overwhelmed with all kinds of emotions! I was excited of course to finally meet our precious boy, but also, this was our life changing forever..after a few tears, we hopped in the car and off we went.
After arriving to the hospital, I got changed, etc....they had to get my IV in (first time they got it!), and get some housekeeping stuff out of the way. At about 11pm to midnight ( I can't remember for sure), they inserted the cytotec to get my cervix to start opening up...They said they would check me four hours later to see if I had progressed anymore and to get some sleep...
Sleep DID NOT happen at all that night...first, the bed was so uncomfortable, that it was killing my sciatica that was already acting up. Plus, they had the fetal monitor hooked up on me, and Wyatt was moving around so much that they kept coming in like every 30 minutes to an hour to re-position the monitor..poor Wayne didn't get much sleep either! They checked me four hours later and I really had not progressed much...so now we waited to start the Pitocin in the am...
At 8am Dr. Coronado came in and broke my water..it really didn't hurt, but I couldn't believe how much I flooded out! LOL!
Around 9AM, Wayne's parents, my parents, and one of my best friends Jazen showed up to wait out the arrival of Wyatt!
At 10AM , they started Pitocin, and that is when the real induction started! Not too long after, I started feeling some mild contractions...but by noon, they were pretty intense and I asked for an epidural..I had planned on an epidural the whole time, but was surprised at how soon I needed it (but I do have a low pain tolerance!).
The CRNA came in a while later and everyone scooted out except for Wayne. I was a bit nervous about the epidural, but the CRNA did an amazing job! Within 10 minutes of getting the epidural, I felt really weird..I couldn't hear very well, and then I started getting "tunnel" vision...I told Wayne and the nurses that I didn't feel right...the next thing I know, I am waking up, drenched in sweat etc...Basically I passed out, as my blood pressure had plummeted. Poor Wayne was scared to death, but I ended up being fine.
I noticed right away that my left side didn't feel quite as "numb" as my right...well, about an hour to two hours later, I started feeling contractions on the left side...not fun! The epidural had not "taken" to that side as well..so they had to put more medicine in and it finally kicked in...by the afternoon, I had progressed more, but it was still a very slow process...I rested as much as I could and then another 1 to 2 hours later I started feeling contractions again on the left side again...also, around when I guess I hit 7 cm dilated, I started throwing up...ugh, not fun!
Finally at about 8pm, my Dr. came back in and checked me and said I was at an 8 cm..she said "Let's go ahead and start doing some practice pushing and get this show on the road!" So, everyone but my Mom, MIL, Wayne and Jazen cleared the room for the practice pushing. They put the oxygen on me and we started...it was definitely exhausting, weird, and and at the point, there was no modesty! LOL!
As soon as I started the Dr. said that Wyatt was "sunny side up" (facing up)and that pushing, etc would probably take longer than normal...
By 915 or so I had been pushing for an hour and Wyatt was just not progressing down like he should. He was not distressed or anything, but the Dr. said she couldn't manipulate him to move his head down more, and the position of his forehead was basically preventing him from progressing...She said we can keep trying to push for another hour or so safely, but she thought going to the OR and doing a C-section was probably best if we were OK with it. Wayne and I immediately said let's just do it, we want him here safe!
Wayne had to get into his "Daddy" scrubs and the CRNA came in and injected my iv with medicine..Not until AFTER did I find out it was phenegran! It's an anti nausea med which is fine, but it makes me very tired/loopy and wish she would have told me so I could have refused it!
They rolled me in to the OR and moved me to the table...honestly I was starting to feel pretty loopy, but was aware of everything! They prepped me, Wayne was sitting by my head, and then the Dr's came in, and it was show time! I obviously couldn't "feel" them cutting me open, but it was weird...like I could "feel" the tugging....I just remember while they were doing it, that it seemed like FOREVER and I just kept waiting to hear Wyatt's cry, and praying that he would cry when they pulled him out! The next thing I know...there it was...the most glorious sound on Earth..Wyatt was born, and he was crying!!! I remember Wayne showing him to me, and me saying "Sweet baby! Sweet baby!" It was just absolutely surreal..Our miracle baby boy was finally here! Here with us, on this Earth, and we were parents! I was pretty loopy and then next thing I know, I am waking up in recovery...It was weird because nobody was in there, and I starting asking if anyone was around! Finally a nurse came in, and they brought Wyatt to me shortly after! My sweet baby boy! I breastfed for about 10 minutes, then Wayne came in, and showed me some pics, etc...His parents, and mine came in to see us before leaving for the night. Wyatt went back to the nursery, and Wayne and I went to our PP room. We were in the hospital till Friday the 11th, and it was so nice to get home with him! The past few weeks have seemed like a blur! More on that in my next posts!

Nursery Reveal!
The nursery is finally done! :)
Wayne has really worked hard and I am so blessed by him! We don't really have a "theme" per-say...but I guess you could say it's vintage/vintage Curious George/monkey/jungle...:)
We decided not to paint...I just thought it would be a pain...lol
The bedding , valance and bed-skirt I got from a good friend, and my Mom fixed up the curtains with the red checkered embellishments...They turned out great! And the monkeys are cute too!
So much to be thankful for, and I can't wait to be rocking Wyatt in that Tech rocking chair...:)

Surprise Shower!!
SO last Sunday on the 18th, was to be the last time (at least for awhile) for me to teach the kids at Church.
I walked in to the gym (we meet at a school), and SURPRISE! They had a shower set up for me!
My friend Kerry said the kids wanted to throw Wyatt and I a shower! It was so sweet, and so much fun! We played games, and I opened presents!
I have grown to love teaching God's love and the Word to the kids...They definitely all hold a special place in my heart, and I can't wait for them to meet Wyatt!
Here is all the "loot" Wyatt got!
The decorated tables, with games, food and presents!
