1 week...

I still have 1 week left of my 3 week break!  I really need to start working on school stuff...:)

My break started out with me being sick, but by thu/fri. of last week I was better.   I have enjoyed sleeping in, watching movies, hanging with my hubby, etc...My good friend had hernia surgery a week ago, so I visited her in the hospital Sat.and on Sun. I took care of her 1 year old, since her hubby is the Pastor of our church. 

Our Christmas was a little different this year as we were supposed to go to my parents but with the weather yesterday, it was just the two of us!   We enjoyed breakfast, opened our gifts to each other, and vegged most of the day!   Wayne got me Maroon 5 tickets (which I already knew about), new pj's and a robe!   I got him slippers, and two shirts!   I went over to visit my friend and her family, and came home about 5 since the roads were getting bad...Enjoyed taco soup for dinner, and watch Elf and Flight with the hubby to end our beautiful white Christmas day!  :)

Saturday we will celebrate Christmas with my parents, and go see my Granny....She is in a nursing home, after falling at her assisted living place a few weeks ago.  She will be 89 in Feb. and is one of the strongest women I know.  She has had breast cancer twice, a mastectomy, heart issues, lost my Grandfather in 96, etc.   It is hard to see her failing, but I feel blessed to spend as much time with her as I can. 

All in all it has been a nice break, and we are looking forward to the New Year....
