Blood Draws and Tornadoes...OH MY!

First, I had my glucose tolerance test today...Thank the LORD the guy was able to get my first stick the FIRST time, and then two hours later he got it again!!!  I am a very hard stick...(It took the nurses at the Endocrinologist's office Friday, 3 sticks before getting me...UGH!   I felt kind of pukey after drinking that orange stuff, but came home and rested....

After looking at the weather, I decided to head to work early, and got there at 145, and wow..I am sure glad I did!  If not, I would have just stayed home in Wylie.  When I got there, all the kids were in their classrooms in "duck and cover" lockdown, and from 2-4 we heard sirens every 15-20 minutes.  It was insane. I have never dealt with hearing sirens that much, and I lived in West Texas for 5 years!  At 430 our after school kids were released to us, and I left at 545.  I am so thankful, that we were all safe, and my family and friends.  Poor Wayne, had to herd the animals in to the closet himself, but I am glad he did so they could be safe!  :)

What an exhausting day!

Two more days of work left, then Friday we head out of town to see Wayne's family!  A much needed break!
