Music to My Ears...

As MOST people know I have been trying to find another teaching job since I left my first one in Mesquite in June of 08. I subbed last year in Wylie and Allen, which was great, mainly on Elem. campuses and really liked it. I decided to take the Elem. cert test in the spring and failed it by like 4-5 questions....ugh. I had a couple of interviews, but nothing panned out.

In late Oct./early Nov. I decided to email the director of the pre-school at the church down the street from us to see if she needed subs. A couple of days later, she called me in, we talked and she put me on the sub list! The week before Thanksgiving break she called asking if I would be available, on Tue. and Thu. after the break to help in the Music room! Of course I said YES!

My first day was that Thu. since I was sick that Mon. and basically I am hired! I am working with another girl in the Music room on Tue. and Thu. from 830-2pm. There are two teachers in all the rooms which is WONDERFUL! The kids are 2-4 years old and are cute as can be, but can wear you out!! It is very different from elem. school, so far I really like it!
I feel so blessed to have found this opening, and the people are so nice. Every morning the kids and teachers come to the chapel, we do three bible songs with hand movements, and the children's pastor does a quick sermon, and then we do a prayer. It is so refreshing and nice to start your day off that way!!

Great Job! Kids that age are so sweet and so funny. You will have to write all the funny things they say down and write them on the blog.
