Maggie had her first seizure in December, and I was here by myself. Afterwards, I got her in to the vet, and he said that Beagles are prone to have them, and that they can start around her age. He said we would watch her and see if they increased in frequency and duration. On Sept. 17th she had another one, and Wayne saw it for the first time. It lasted a little longer, and just as awful watching her as the last one. Then tonight, she had another ONE after running around the yard. I was by myself again, praying it would be over soon for her. IT lasted 4 minutes, the longest yet.
I will call the vet and see what he says, as we can put her on medicine, but even on medicine they still can have them.
I have had animals my whole life, and she has truly stolen my heart! She is such a sweetie, and is very attached to me.
I pray that the vet has some comforting words.
