Wayne has had TWO Porsche's since I have known him. Both 1972 Porsche's.The first one he bought when we were engaged, and it ended up being a dud, so he sold it. The second one, Glen found and bought, and Wayne bought it from him. That is the one he currently has. He has been working on this car ever since we got engaged, so since 2002!!!!!! With working and and the summers being HOT and the winters getting COLD, he has not been able to work on it full-time. To make a long story short, he took it to a Porsche mechanic a couple of months ago to fix some things, and THEN found out that the engine had some problems...ARGH. For the past couple of months, after work, Wayne has been going to the shop to do things to the car, and help the mechanic (who has been WONDERFUL) to help move things along. Yesterday, Wayne got to bring THE CAR HOME. The car ran wonderful, and even though we have spent some (haha...some..:) money on it, it will all be worth it in the end! Wayne washed it and we drove around in it yesterday and today. I am so looking forward to the warm days on the weekends when we can just jump in the Porsche with the top off, windows rolled down, and we drive around in the country with not a care in the world. And I have to tell you, that car is FUN to be the passenger in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope when we are 60 we still have our Sunday drives....:)
