Today is a very special DAY! I couldn't be with my Mom since I am still not feeling well, but she totally understood. In fact, she understands all too well!
She stayed home with me growing up which I am so grateful to this day! I got sick a lot as a kid, and because she was a stay-at-home MOM she was able to take care of me. I had ear tube surgeries (5), lymph node surgery, sinus surgery, was on allergy shots, had a knee separation before my 2nd year at Tech, had a seizure as a kid, (another 4 months before my wedding) and other NORMAL kid illnesses and bumps and bruises.....:) THROUGH IT ALL, she was there for me even if she got no sleep and was exhausted.
Christmas is her favorite holiday, and believe it or not, I really never asked for much! My Mom always made it special, and wanted us to have the best Christmas ever!
She had to raise my brother alone after her divorce from her first husband, and hearing her talk about the sacrifices she made for my brother so he could eat, and have clothes on his back, was amazing to me. She then met my Dad, who took them BOTH under his wing and the rest is history!
Happy Mother's Day!
LOVE YOU MOM!
